After 2 years of owning the property on Saint Ferdinand Street, it was time to begin construction of the studio addition. I had never constructed a building before, but my attitude at the time was “how hard can it be?”. Being guilty of optimistic thinking is another recurring theme. All steel construction was done by me.
It’s a great place to work – with room to design, fabricate, assemble prototypes, and create with tons of natural light. The Studio is also a nice place to have a glass of whiskey, listen to some music, and enjoy my hobby- collecting Japanese Swords. Finally, a permanent home.
Saint Ferdinand – the patron Saint of Engineers. How poetic.
