I moved from my long-serving studio space at 427 Esplanade after 10 years of being a tenant. I was forced out in order to turn a wonderful urban manufacturing space into a residential condo development.
It was time to have a place that would work as a forever home for Bienville Studios. The Saint Ferdinand Street location was exactly one mile downriver from the French Quarter. A satisfactory proximity to the center of the universe, and there was room to build a commercial addition.
The first project to be initiated at the new location came a couple of months after the move. Matt Chambers reached out to me for some concepts for a second-generation Wraith. We never got beyond the sketch phase.
