1998 Harley Bobber

Building a custom motorcycle has never been enough. Once the motorcycle is complete, the question remains- what do you actually DO with it? For me, it was my first journey to the Bonneville salt flats.

The Performance Art of this project was to actually ride the thing 1,600 miles from Louisiana to the race, compete, turn around, and ride home. A very bad idea, and one that I would repeat many times.

The motorcycle would also serve as my resume when one year later I approached Matt Cambers for a job at his company, Confederate Motorcycles.
